Web page design- Appealing and unappealing

Assalamualaikum and hi... =)

For this entry, we will focus on "Web Page Design". We have to determine which web page is appealing and unappealing. After that, we must give the reason based on the design for the web page. After researching many web, finally we got 2 websites that relate in our assignment.

1) Website that appealing

We had been review website named 'www.pizzahut.com.my' which is a fast food website. We think this website is appeal because:

  • The main colour for this website which is red  is suitable and attractive and the image is standing out.
  • As we get to the page, we can choose the two option, and design is arrange in orderly.

  • Then, it will go to the next page and we can see the web page has interesting picture to attract people to visit their website.

2) Website that unappealing

After surfing the web, we came across a website named 'Penny Juice' with url pennyjuice.com. Although we can see it has so colourful webpage but it is unappealing because:

  • confusing from the bright colours and the text cannot be seen clearly.

  • It is also lacking clear navigation and doesn't really tell you outright what the product it is.
  • From this website, we can only see the testimony and only can assume that this website maybe some type of fruit juice formula for babies.

In Order to improve this website, we would restructure it. For
example, put some details or information about this product. Then,
the colour should be more suitable with font colour. Besides, this
websites can be more interseting if it had some navigation.

HTML code

Posted by Unknown on 08:24
On the last short semester, we have learn HTML codes in Web Application course. The HTML codes are written by using 'Notepad'. In Web Design course this semester, we are asked to recall and applied what we have learn before in Web Application course. There are 4 questions which is:

1.  Write the markup language code to display your name in the largest-size heading element.
2.  Write the markup language code for unordered list to display the days of the week.
3.  Write the markup language code for an ordered list that uses uppercase letters to order the items.  This ordered list will display the following : Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter.
4.  Think of a favourite quote by someone you admire.  Write the XHTML code to display the person's name in a heading and the quote in a blockquote.

The output will be displayed in your default Internet browser. This is because the notepad file is saved as html file.

We will provide the print screen for both the coding and its output for your view.

Question 2:
